Angelina College first-year head women's basketball coach Addie Lees and her squad endured a tough season in 2025-2026, finishing the year with just seven players on the roster.
Each of those players still gave everything she had, with most of those players averaging nearly 40 minutes of playing time per game.
The conference took notice, honoring two Lady 'Runners with coveted postseason awards.
Aminah Dixon earned a 1st Team All-Conference nod, while Timberlyn Washington was named Honorable Mention All-Conference.
Dixon, a 5'10" freshman from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston, Texas led the team with 381 points scored (a 14.7 points-per-game average) while finishing with 3.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. Dixon scored her season high of 23 points twice: against Temple College and again in the Region XIV Conference Tournament quarterfinals against Kilgore College.
Washington, a 5'4" freshman from Lakeview High School in Clarence, Louisiana, averaged 12.6 points, 2.0 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game while leading the team in steals with a total of 78. Washington posted a season-high 26 points at Coastal Bend Community College on Feb. 25.
AC's ladies finished with a 6-20 record in Lees' first year at the helm.
