AC's Complete Game Leads to Blowout Win

The Angelina College Lady Roadrunners have spent the early part of the season trying to put together a complete game.
On Tuesday, they managed their best effort of the year.
AC jumped out to a 20-5 lead in the first eight minutes of the game on their way to a convincing 73-43 win over Southern University-Shreveport at Shands Gymnasium.
Head coach Addie Lees saw her Lady 'Runners moving at a high speed all night long on both ends of the floor, with AC winning the rebounding battle by a 47-25 margin while the defense forced 22 Lady Jaguar turnovers.
AC's Aminah Dixon posted big numbers in leading her squad to the win, finishing with a team-high 16 points while dishing out six assists and grabbing eight rebounds. Timberlyn Washington added 14 points, and Da'Zya Johnson and Evelyn Rodriguez added nine points each.
La'Karria Harris led the Lady Jaguars with nine points.
The Lady Roadrunners built a 22-9 lead by the end of the first quarter and held the Lady Jaguars to just eight points in the second to take a 35-17 lead into the half time locker room. AC's swarming defense continued over the final two quarters to lift the team to its third win of the season.
The Lady Roadrunners (3-4) next play at Frank Phillips College in Borger, Texas on Monday, Dec. 2. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
