The streaking Angelina College Lady Roadrunner soccer team will shoot for their fourth straight win when the team hosts North Lake College on Tuesday.

AC’s ladies have posted a 5-2 record to open the season, including three straight wins – with the past two on the road against conference foes. Following last week’s 8-0 pounding of Mountain View College – a match featuring four goals from Jade Dewbre – the Lady ‘Runners took 3-1 wins at Paris College and Northeast Texas Community College on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Against Paris, Dewbre scored twice, giving her 10 goals in seven matches – tied for 10th nationally in the NJCAA’s Division I level. Newcomer Jasmin Keller notched her first goal in the win.

In the win over NTCC, Jerissa Grimes scored her fifth goal of the year, while Bailey Bowers scored her third and Olivia Urrutia her second.

AC’s streak has the team in second place in the Region XIV standings, with undefeated and No. 3 Tyler Junior College holding the top spot.

Tuesday’s game will kick off at 5 p.m. at Jase Magers Field at Lufkin High School.
