The Angelina College Lady Roadrunner softball team has smashed its way into the national rankings courtesy of some hot bats and steady pitching.
The Lady ‘Runners this week made their debut in the recent NJCAA Division I polls, entering at No. 20 in the nation. Despite having lost numerous games to inclement weather, AC’s ladies have put together a 13-5 record thus far.

Whitehead and Kaylee Ancelot are tied for 7th in the Region XIV East Zone with five homers each. Sara Mayes is tied for 13th with four homers.
AC pitcher McKenna Fryar leads the East Zone with an ERA of 1.63. She’s second in the league in strikeouts with 66 in just 51.2 innings pitched.
