Five members of the Angelina College Lady Roadrunner softball team have landed on a pair of Academic All-American lists, with the team as a whole also earning national consideration.

Emilee Cernosek (Katy, TX), Riley Garrett (Katy, TX), Megan Kirchhoff (Spring, TX), Taylor Lenggenhager (Austin, TX) and Nikki Whitehead (Kingwood, TX) were named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association’s All-American Scholar-Athlete list for maintaining a grade-point average of 3.5 or better over both the fall and spring semesters.

In addition, Kirchhoff earned a place on the National Junior College Athletics Association’s All-Academic Second-Team list (3.8-3.99 GPA); and Whitehead and Garrett earned Third-Team honors (3.60-3.79 GPA).

Overall, the Lady Roadrunner team compiled a 3.23 GPA over the two full semesters, keeping them in contention for national recognition.
